Southern Threads is a clothing store in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I got the opportunity to work with the owners from start-up to help craft the image of the brand as well as promote the store from it’s infancy. I listened to their descriptions and dreams for the store, studied the brands and developed the initial imagery including logo, store signage, business cards, product tags, website and social media platforms. We didn’t rely on traditional advertising as much as word-of-mouth and social media. Initial promotional materials included a brands flyer that was placed in strategic locations and a mailed capabilities post card. Their initial marketing also included an Ambassador’s program at the University and High School levels as well as fashion shows and presentations on tv talk shows, local events and organizations.
The remainder of these images represent the story telling aspect of the social media. Our goal was to present the image of the store, the various brands and overall quality of the merchandise. Video was also used on social media including this Christmas piece which used an original song written and sung by one of the co-owners’ husband.
